Overview

Ota City strives to build a “people-friendly” town and achieve a society where all citizens care about each other and live active, healthy lives. This exhibition features the artistic activities of people with disabilities based on their personality and talent with the aim of promoting understanding of diversity in a society where everyone can be happy and belong.

“Nemunoki Gakuen” was established in 1968 as the first nursing home in Japan for children with physical disabilities, and a school was established in 1979. Since then, it has been contributing greatly to the progress of welfare and education. Aiming to cultivate respect for individuality and a rich human nature, the school values the children’s sensitivity above all. Enjoy the infinite talent and kindness that shine from these paintings that the children at Nemunoki drew from the heart.
